Best DAC in this price and Value for money

Review: Solid build quality. Almost all the tunings can be done through physical buttons on the DAC. Using Eddict player app. Coming to music.. Sounds great, bit warm. Just started exploring the DAC with different music genres. Trying with different IEMs, gog to know that good IEMs also plays role to better output. Just within in 24 hrs, received the DAC. Fabulous service by HPZ and courier partners. Thank you HPZ.

Shanling UA4

Shanling over the years has built up a reputation and track record which is enviable. I can vouchsafe on this based on the audio gadgets which I have. This one UA4 just does not do justice in maintaining the image built up. Audio quality , contrary to the net reviews does not live up to the standards . Built quality appears to be very cheap and flimsy . But of course the company has managed to keep the price down . Anyway , a better deal was expected from Shanling.

Compatibility issues with Samsung phones

This DAC doesn't work well with my Samsung S23 Ultra or my Samsung S20 FE. If this is plugged into a Samsung device 10 times, it works only about 4 out of those 10 times. Rest of the times, it doesn't simply activate or work.

There are 2 points worth noting here:
1. It works well with my Apple devices. (which led me to believe that the issue might be on the side of Samsung and not Shanling)
2. I got some FiiO DACs afterwards, which work flawlessly with all my devices: Samsung and Apple. (this changed my previous belief, and I think the issue is actually on Shanling's side)

TLDR: I am not sure fully, whether the issue is on Samsung's end or Shanling's. Whatever it might be, if you have a Samsung phone, probably best to stay away from a Shanling DAC.
(Oh and, whenever it does work, it sounds delightful)
