For a long long time, I was in search for a real good Headphone. I had been listening to music systems particularly Bose and I think they are good at their open sound systems at least for a home solution. But I must say, Bose suffers miserably in the Headphones category and I was extremely unhappy about it. Now coming to the DT 1990 Pro, what can I say about it. Its probably mesmerizing ! From the sound quality perspective, I have been hearing some musical sound notes which never caught my attention while listening to the same tracks on other headphones ! The sound of DT1990 is so natural, crisp and detailed that you feel like being in front of the performance. I have been using it for almost everyday now, since I received the product. Particularly if anyone loves listening to Floyd, I would recommend you listen to "The Echoes Pompeii Live" with this headphone. Trust me friends, you feel like sitting in front of that performance. I never heard this song in this way, how I have been listening to it lately with the DT1990 Pro. This headphones are just awesome ! Anyone looking for natural and serious musical experiences with crisp notes and detailed tones in the sound output then you should go for it. DT 1990 Pro will never allow you to regret on your decision of purchasing it !

These are fairly neutral. Bass response is awesome and it is not exeggerated at all. Only downside that they have a bit exeggerated treble. But not harsh at all. If you want a warm and smooth sound go elsewhere. If you like detailed and articulate sound these are great in mid budget. I played them with Mackbook Pro without any external amplification. Great tool for recording engineers and loudspeaker designers.

Totally blown away by the quality of the output the DT-1990 is capable of. The headphone reveals so many sounds in the mix. Great stage scape, great seperation, huge dynamic range.
The overall sound output is rather neutral to less high mids driven but it's absolutely the perfect one for mixing & mastering in a silent environment.
Best studio headphones in this price segment specially with this massive price drop!

The unboxing experience is not great, but don't go with the looks - the beast is inside, simple, sober and powerful. This is my first headphone and it proved wrong about all my notions about headphones. I have a set of 4 IEM's they sound like the music is banging inside a room closed where as the DT1990Pro is sounding like I am in a auditorium or open theatre - it sounds amazingly great. All the reviews which were written about the product are absolutely correct. I felt if this product had a balanced cable, how would it sound like. I am totally impressed with it. Go for it with closed eyes. I did not felt any discomfort even after 2 hrs of continuous listening, there is not sign of pressure or pressing of the bar - its smooth and soft pretty comfortable but after removing there was some sweat around the ears with some heat - may be its common in headphones. I changed the ear pads and there comes the change in how the music sounds - it got multiple personality RIGHT order, ha ha ha ha. I am not a pro to tell about music & EQ I just started my journey and overwhelmed with all the products I am taking from HPZ and recommending to every one. Overall I am impressed - beyond. Thank you for the music Raghav....! and thanks to Danesh who guided me when I got stuck while using this head phones. I got these delivered at my office and even my colleague got impressed with this. Received my Beyerdynamic - DT 1990 PRO today. The build quality is outstanding. Many reviewers in YouTube mention/complain about the clamping force, but i don't feel it that much. All the songs that i've listen to so far sound different than before - very detail. I hear sound that i haven't hear/less pronounce from by Logitech Z625 especially in the lower frequency range. I love low frequency rambling sound (like in Avenged Sevenfold - Almost Easy), and this headphone did very well in that region. I am using Fiio K5 Pro, i wonder how it sound with some other DAC/AMP. I cannot say much about the sound quality/quantity that much since i receive this headphone today only. But i can tell that i am going to love it and i think i might need a better AMP.
