ThieAudio - Hype 4

I own CCA Hydro, Gizaudio x DaVinci, Sigmot EW300 and then i had eyes on ThieAudio Hype4 since a long time as i wanted to buy that over DaVinci. I studied these for quite some time and hearing lot of reviews decided to buy this. The unboxing experience (unboxing this is a pain though and you need to do it carefully), quality and craftsmanship is best. They look gorgeous.

Now coming to sound
1) I tried these with iFi go link, iBasso DC06 pro and FiiO KA13 and trust me these sound the best on FiiO DACs. Paired with FiioKA13 gave the best sonic experienced.
2) Bass is thunderous, if you are someone who likes lot of bass, this is bassgasm. You can feel the thump, rumble without feeling fatigued. ThieAudio guys did some absolute magic here. Its better experienced. Bass doesnt bleed into mids and is clean, rumbly, punchy and you can feel the goosebumps
3) Mids are surely recessed and at the first go you wont love the mids as vocals seem to sit back on most tracks. Luckily, there is a solution. Just add a parametric EQ (if you are using UAPP or any other app) as per the picture i posted. Use the same settings and you will feel mids come to life and everything will seem full and awesome without overpowering. I basically checked the frequency response of Hype4 and did a reverse EQ on where the mids were recessed and this fixed the mids issue.
3) Treble.. No problem here. Airy, sparkly, beautiful and full of life.

This is a 5 star surely. You need to tweak a bit though as per your preferences to find the sweet spot. If you do that right, you will find you sweet spot and will listen to it for hours and hours forgetting everything.

ThieAudio did a great job with this. No need to go for Hype 10. I tried those and its a 15-20% difference and thats not such a big thing. Go for it. You will not regret spending your money on this. This maybe end game IEM for most until something that would disrupt this would come. Cheers and enjoy listening.

Take this with a grain of salt because I am very biased, and it's not just because the tuning fits me perfectly. The first time that an iem truly blew me away was when I tried the ThieAudio Clairvoyance (this was at HPZ). Before that, I used to think there's no way an iem could compare to a good pair of headphones. After hearing me rave about them, a friend got them. I couldn't afford the Clairvoyance then, so I picked up the Legacy 5s a while later, and I'd borrow his set from time to time. I really liked the legacy 5s (and still use them), but it isn't a fair comparison. Anyway, about a month ago, the same friend asked me to try this new Hype 4 iem, and said I'll like them. I placed a pre-order almost instantly.

I just love love how these things sound. They are tuned perfectly ootb. I don't have to play around with EQ settings at all, and can just hit play. My only two complaints are with the cable and the tips. The cable is built well but has a mind of it's own; and while stock iem tips are not the best, these are unusable. But they are minor complaints and there's a lot of great replacement cables available.

I am enjoying my time listening to these. Let me say a few words in layman terms (that's me btw). You get everything you pay for. No distortion, great layered audio, no complaints across the board. I got the white and it looks pretty epic to be honest! That faceplate is going to turn some heads and the cable looks cool too! The IEM is durable and very well made. No issues with QC.
Sound: You will enjoy listening to most genres of music. I use the inbox foam tips and they seal real good and prevent most noises from coming in and with audio playing, you will only hear really loud construction, traffic noises. The audio is rich and creamy. Vocal presentation and specialized bass are central to the philosophy that went into creating these. Voices sound super clear, emphasized a tad bit but never sibilant. Electronic music, pop music sound creamy and great and no range overpowers the overall song/track. Soundtracks (movies, games) sound good but lack a little in terms of openness and width. Mind you, I use a Sundara and it's an open back. What impressed me was its bass presentation. Bass, to my ears, is its specialization. It is not sub-standard overpowering bass but the different levels vis-a-vis mid-bass, sub-bass and it's clear distinction the IEM can effortlessly present that put a smile on my face. I listen to orchestral soundtracks a lot and so I don't look forward to bass as much as soundstage and clarity. Hence, I didn't even know that one could lay bass out on a table in it's many beautiful fulsome forms.

I love the Hype 4! You are probably going to enjoy its sound and like it for its uniqueness.

Hi Raghav & co., thanks for reaching out to me personally, 1st of all Hype4 is a mind-blowing sounding IEM but more impressive the superb 2days lightning fast delivery just after placing order, especially given my location Arunachal Pradesh, keep it up! 👌
As you can see from my purchase record in your system, it is my 3rd IEM, 1st & 2nd being Chu & Hola respectively, although they both sounded very good for it's price point, I was very disappointed when both miserably failed to deliver the sound quality that I wanted to hear & experience from Lossless Music and songs even after pairing with external portable DAC (ifi Go Link). As an audio enthusiastic, it was quite apparent both were unable to retrieve that lossless music quality to satisfaction & liking.
Hence, after thorough research and sound demos in all price bracket under 1lakhs, decided to settle at 30k to 40k as this category was giving the most value for money I thought. As such, I have opted for Hype4 this time, although really loved Hype2 for its musical roundedness, Blessing3 for its clear vocals, and Studio4 for its neutrality, but Hype4 has totally stolen my heart for its best suited for listening my favourite music genres. It has the musical tuning of Hype2 and versed with technical abilities of Studio4 & Blessing3, to me its the endgame for a given price surely. Its a HUGE upgrade/improvement over my previous two other IEMs in terms of "quality and price". Hype4 is definitely serving the purpose for now but ofcourse ultimately aim is to get to the TRUE ENDGAME❤️ sounding IEM one day hopefully soon.
