In case you receive the IO Audio - VOLARE with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession

Not great with all sources but with others its sublime

So first about the unboxing experience that everyone has been going gaga over and saying is top-notch, unfortunately for me it was very underwhelming. I think everyone has been taken by the similarities in how the box has been structured and organized (drawer style organization etc.) to the Sony IER-Z1Rs. Leaving out the drawer organization Sony IER-Z1R hit it out of the park but thats to be expected as the price point on those is almost triple of the I/O Audio Volare. It’s just a cardboard box with a magnetic closure nothing special (reminded me of a shadi wala dry fruit ka dabba). The tips are aplenty but difficult to remove just with the fingers and I used a pencil/toothpick to remove them. There was a foul smell from the box (very strong formaldehyde smell) due to all of the foam being used. The only thing great in package was the leather carry box which is finished very well but on the larger side of things and not very portable. The cable that came with these is excellent in itself but the terminations have a very thin, flimsy, and sharp edged 4 pronged screw design in metal and the shiny gold looks tacky and doesn’t really match with the IEMs aesthetics which is Black, silver and grey tones primarily. It comes with 3 terminations as standard, which is great. The IEMS themselves are super comfortable to wear and are medium sized with a universal IEM type shape. In my ears I could feel them but my ears didn’t hurt while wearing them for over 3 hours at a stretch, which is very different from my experience of the Noble Audio Spartacus. I personally don’t like the look of these as I prefer a pop of colour but I also don’t care much about how IEMS look. That brings me to the sound and the title of this review. With some sources they sounded very crappy and unfortunately the crappy sources is what I tried first and got myself a scare. On the A&K SP3000T in all three modes i.e. Op, Hybrid, and full tube mode these sounded downright awful (no bass, muddy vocals), which was very very surprising, as nothing I have heard with the the A&K as source has been a disappointment till now. Post this debacle I tried other Dongle DACs like the Audioquest cobalt, ddHifi TC44Pro, and Headphone Zone X ddHiFi DAC and they sounded just ok again lack of any bass was the primary issue. Then I tried these with the Questyle M15i, the iFi Hip DAC 3, iFi GO Bar Kensei (Bass and Space turned on) they sounded just sublime. On the Schiit stack (Magnus, Modus, and Lokius) and Matrix Audio Mini-i Pro 4 too they sounded great. All Playlists used were hi-res with Tidal as the music source. I was disappointed with their performance with the DAP but I can live with that as I have other IEMs that shine there. I would have given these 4.5 stars.
