Moondrop - Blessing 3

TL;DR these are probably the endgame IEMs for me right now.

I consider my ER4SR as the reference for sound signature; very flat, airy mids and highs with really lean, tight and textured bass that digs deep but doesn't muddle the mids. My only complaint with the ER4SR is their abysmal comfort; it makes wearing them impossible beyond half hour at a stretch.

Well, the Blessing 3s are all that ER4SR are but with a great fit and comfort. The material feels great in the ear, the cable is very good and supplied hard pouch can fit the IEMs with my Fiio BTR5 too. It's easy to get a comfortable fit with the supplied tips.

As for the sound, the mids and treble are flat, airy and open, so good that my (non-discerning) wife could spot they're better than my Astell & Kern's Billie Jean. Also, my hearing is limited to 14KHz so my treble review may not be accurate.

The bass is flat, goes deep and wakes up only when required and doesn't muddle the mids. It's sub bass extension is very apparent on tracks like Krigsgaldr by Heilung at 1:50 and The Hidden Orchestra's East London Street - Drums only version. The only thing missing now is the chest thump :)

Overall very impressive for the price.

A few nitpicks for the otherwise excellent pair:

The bass - although it's flat and deep, is a little 'tubby' for my taste, for a lack of better term. I think this because of the Dynamic Driver doing bass duty rather than the tuning. I prefer the tight and fast response of BA for bass as well, YMMV.

The Left and Right markers on both the cable and earbuds are either missing or not legible. This makes initial fitting guesswork. At least add red-blue to the cable like Fiio does.

Overwhelmed by the level of details these gets into. Sounds extremely clear with ample bass to enjoy music. Yes little bright but does not sound at all sterile (found it quite musical, more than what I expected). May sound fatiguing to few after an hour or so but for short listening this iem is sonic bliss and has a true audiophile sound.
Bass in my opinion is near sufficient, however tad more would have been great.
Best part is vocal which is "crystal cleaaaar", quite forward and natural.
Instruments really play phenomenal and bring smile to my face everytime I listen to these (same smile I used to get 3 years back when I listened Sundara 😀)

Having tested various IEMs and headphones, Moondrop is one of my favorite brands and these IEMs themselves are amazing.

Receiving backlash due to poor bass range (when it’s within their capability to produce), I still prefer this IEM due to the higher treble range and more crisp and clear vocals than other IEMs (for reference, airpod pros have a better bass than this IEM, but that is the only area this IEM is lacking). With an equalizer you can produce still decent bass (spotify has a built-in function within their settings if you can’t afford an external one).

Pros:

•Great treble range
•Specifically crisp vocals where you can hear overlapping voices easily within properly mixed songs
•Decent outside audio blockage despite no noise cancellation

Cons:

•Flimsy Chord
•Zipper case is spacious and hard cover, but the zipper is poor quality and may break after ~50 uses
•The earbud nozzle tips are decent, but expect them to remain stuck in your ear after some usage, causing you to exchange them for new tips

Overall, this IEM is amazing, but the accessories are rather lacking.

The sound profile of moondrop blessing is pretty amazing, Waited for price to drop a bit and got a good deal. Appreciate the packaging and fast delivery of product from Headphone Zone.

A rating of 5/5 generally implies that a product is perfect. That is a paradox. Nothing in life is perfect. People have wasted away their entire lives chasing perfection, blah blah blah...
The Moondrop Blessing 3 is not perfect, but it is very good. I am a Trauma Surgeon by profession. So, it is my job to chase perfection in what I do. Therefore, I am always unhappy with my work. A connection that I felt when I put these on.
You don't need to read yet another review covering the drivers, or how the Dynamic Drivers in this can compare to Planars. You already know that. If you don't, please scroll up and watch the numerous videos covering the product in detail. You know this is the best selling sub-30k IEM currently, and if you have read this far, it's probably because you're combing through reviews of fellow audiophiles,to know whether you should part with that kind of cash. Atleast, that's usually the case.
Know this then: You are here(and not on a generic marketplace) because you like sound, just like you like to stop and admire a sunset. You enjoy good food and wine(probably), you are a connoisseur of art,and so on...
Therefore, you are like me, and you have already made your decision. You just want to feel good about it. You won't, because once you have these, you will want more. That is the curse.
I would like to thank Virendra "HeadPhone Guru" for their help. I wanted IEMs to justify the purchase of an iFi Audio Go Pod (LDAC over Bluetooth),and these will deliver just fine.
They supposedly pick up from Crinacle's tuning on the Series 2, whatever that is. I like it, but have modified it to sound more pleasing to my ears (a very amateur tuning of the graph is attached for reference).
Now, all that is left to do is wait on the Bluetooth Adapter.
PS: In case you are looking for IEMs for gaming, make sure they fit into your ears comfortably first. These are just a tiny bit big for me (Disclaimer: Impression after just 12 hours of ownership), which causes discomfort after about an hour.
