According to "The Classic of Mountains and Seas," Ruyi was the weapon used by the Yellow Emperor to defeat Chiyou in ancient times. Five thousand years ago, when the Yellow Emperor allied with the Yan Emperor, Chiyou attacked their tribes. The Yellow Emperor’s tribe, led by the Queen Mother of the West and her disciple Empyrean Fairy, created a hook-shaped weapon, the prototype of Ruyi. To honor this mystical weapon that brought victory, it was named Ruyi, meaning "as one wishes," for its luck. Over time, it became a ceremonial object signifying protection and demon taming. High-Purity OFC Cores For Clean Audio Transmission

Ruyi is hand-weaved from 2 strands of high-purity OFC cores, each core being 2.0mm in diameter, combined by 16*6*0.08mm OFC wires. This design is beneficial for transmitting high-fidelity signals while minimizing interferences. The copper conducting element tends to enhance listening ambience and bass performance, while high-purity OFC further brings mellowness and improves mid-bass performances, uplifting the scale and soundstage sensation. Multiple components can be adopted on the Ruyi cable, which comes with a 3.5mm plug for most mobile phone connections, and a 0.78 2-pin earphone connector for swapping earphones of your choice. Accessory options include Apple Lightning and Type C to 3.5mm converters for wider usage scenarios.

A multi-function remote control is attached to the Ruyi cable with simple and direct control options for ease of use, compatible with IOS and Android OS. Package arrived in time and in great condition. The mic is good but not unidirectional, it picks up everything around you. The connectors are good but the actual cable feels cheap with its shiny grey color and plasticky feeling. Fit is great except the right ear where the mic stays has a slightly smaller curvature for the ear compared to the left, and combined with the weight of the mic, creates some pressure on the right ear, which i hope will fade away in time as it adjusts to my ears. Overall a good purchase.
