FiiO - FD11

The detailing in the sound and beats is really commendable. Seems like you are in a theatre equipped with amplifiers that can identify and segregate sounds produced by difference musical instruments. Worth buying!! In the low cost genre, these IEMs are awesome and worth buying.

First of, thanks to the Headphone Zone, for bringing good quality products, to the Indian market at an affordable price. I am so impressed with their attention to detail, detailed and honest description of products, replacement guarantee and the variety of products made available! I will buy from you guys even if you are slightly more expensive than rival websites (are there any !), because we need people like you to not just survive, but thrive!

Now to describe the product, i will write two separate reviews, one for the person who buys this as the first entry into the audiophile world, and one for someone who already is aware of Sounstage etc

1. To the person who buys this as first entry -
If someone is looking for a decent, low priced option, to explore what audiophile headphones are, to get to know the concept of soundstage, balanced and accurate 'as is' reproduction of sound as it was intended, go ahead without a doubt, and buy these. The headphones are versatile, balanced, and they dont color any frequency. The build quality is excellent, as they are made of metal, rather than plastic. My advice to you is to let them 'burn in' for a min of 40 hours, to feel them come alive !

2. To an experienced audiophile
So i purchased these with the intent to explore IEM's. I own a Sennheiser HD598, which are open backed, and Audio Technica Ath M50x. Both are not top of the range headphones, but more low/medium end audiophile headphones. But both are bulky, and cannot be carried around, and need a decent DAC or Amp to drive them.
So, invariably, i knew i would always compare how FD11 sounds against both above-mentioned headphones. To which i will say the FD11 is Rey Mysterio standing up to Kane or Edge!
The soundstage is well defined, almost reaching 80-90% of what the H598 can reproduce, no frequency range is colored purposely to spruce up. Dont expect these to thump bass notes, but the bass is well-controlled, warm, and rounded. Bass does not leak into the mid-frequency, and neither does the mid-frequency leak into high frequency. No Sibilance either. for 1/4th the price of HD598, they do an amazing job indeed.

There are a few nit-pickings, namely, they dont come with foam tips, and the silicone ones may fit some ears perfectly, or not. But if i move my mouth, the silicone tips lose their seal, and then low and mid frequencies disappear.

Secondly, they get overwhelmed very quickly. Say, Thriller song by MJ, up to the first 35 seconds, when the instruments are well separated, the headphones work brilliantly, but around 40th second, when the song bursts using multiple instruments, the headphones get a bit overwhelmed! That's understandable, because it's one dynamic driver producing low mid, and highs, and when it gets overwhelmed, it gives priority to the mids and highs. Similarly, say the song I feel it coming by The Weeknd, where the song is supple and not overwhelming, these headphones work just fine!

Overall, i recommend these wholeheartedly, you won't be disappointed!

THE SEPARATION OF INSTRUMENTAL IS VERY DEEP...FIIO MAINTAINED THE LEVEL...BUT IF YOU ARE USING A DAC THEN LL BE GORGEOUS..BUT THE UPGRADED CABLE OF 2.5MM OUTPUT WHICH IS RECOMMENDED BY THEM IS NOT ACTUALLY FITTING EVEN THEY ARE 0.78 2 PIN ..BETTER USE THE STOCK ONES..BUT IF FIIO HAS THE UPGRADED CABLES THEN GO FOR IT...

Stongly build,stylish ,tangle free cables but sound is very balanced not enough bass ,not my cup of tea :)

Sound quality super

I own a lot of IEMs around the 2K rupees mark such as the Truthear hola, Moondrop chu 2, 7Hz Salnotes and a few other. These are a tier above all these IEMs. The most impressive thing is the instrument separation. I've noticed the FD11s have a very fast response(especially noticeable in fast paced tracks). Build Quality is the best I've ever felt a product have. They will last you a lifetime if treated well. Sound is a mild V-shape. Overall, fun to listen to and good for most genres of music. The only disappointment is there is no case included.
Bottom line- Value for money, Premium build, great V/U-shaped IEMs.

Got these for my wife who did not like her previous IEMs which did not fit her well. These fit her nicely and the comfort due to the custom cable is also really nice. I tried them myself and the soundstage is clear and precise. Depth of soundstage not very large, but it’s great for the price point. The metal build also feels nice on the unit I received.

This is my first IEM headphone . i’m trying to learn and adapt For this IEM headphones, one small missing thing for me Is bass Without the bass Now, I can hear some of musical instruments they used in the songs .iPhone music player and lossless audio combined With fiio fd -11 is awesome!!
