CRA have a more fun tuning without being bass or treble cannons like some of the other models in this price. The CRA also have a much nicer cable and design, and just feel better built overall despite the lower price.

Will these IEMs sound better than stock earphones?

In general, the CCA - CRA will sound better than stock earphones that you may have used with your smartphone. These IEMs were built using high-quality drivers and materials and tuned to deliver a well-balanced sound signature. The CCA - CRA IEMs provide a much more accurate and authentic reproduction of the original music recording and present a very high overall sound quality. Using them should change how you listen to your favourite artist and allow you to rediscover music.

Do these really sound better than Wireless Earbuds?

Wireless Earbuds are no doubt convenient. But they usually sound pretty ordinary. These IEMs, although wired, are designed and built with the goal of just delivering brilliant sound. Keep in mind, wireless earphones, pack in batteries, Bluetooth receivers, electronic components and speakers that add to their cost and can end up at several times the price of an equivalent sounding wired earphone. And so, for the same budget, wireless earbuds can sound pretty ordinary compared to wired IEMs. If sound quality is a priority over convenience, wired IEMs come out ahead in terms of price, and significantly in terms of sonic performance. Wired IEMs have always been the audiophile’s top pick.

How will this IEM make my music sound any better?

How do I use these IEMs if my phone doesn't have a 3.5mm output?

If your phone doesn't have a 3.5mm output, you can use a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter for android phones or a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter for Apple iPhones to connect the CCA - CRA IEMs. Alternatively, the best-sounding option is to go for a USB Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) to connect your IEMs. A good DAC makes a considerable difference to the overall sound of your set up and these DACs are highly capable and outperform inexpensive adapters. If you are looking for the best presentation of your music then a dedicated USB DAC is the way to go.

Do I really need a Digital To Analog Converter (DAC) or Amplifier to use these?

You don't necessarily need a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) or Amplifiers to use the CCA - CRA IEMs, as they can be plugged directly into the 3.5mm output of your smartphones, tablets or laptops. They usually have enough power to drive these Earphones. However, using a dedicated DAC can improve the overall sound quality and provide a more detailed reproduction, especially if you are listening to Lossless or Hi-Res music.

Why do these IEMs have detachable cables?

IEMs don’t usually get damaged. The cables can get damaged with usage. So it’s easy to replace them if they are conveniently detachable. Detachable cables allow you to swap out different kinds of cables. These can feature materials that make a difference to the sound signature or different termination types like 2.5mm or 4.4mm, which are sometimes needed to plug into various devices. Balanced Cables are upgrade cables that make a significant difference to the sound quality when used with a device featuring a balanced output, usually a 2.5mm or 4.4mm output. Swapping the cables for a Balanced cable allows you to take advantage of the balanced output on your DAC or Player and can improve the bass, soundstage and resolution of your IEM.

I've had the BLON BL 03, 7Hz zero, tangzu wa'aner and wanted to get something with good enough bass for a change.
The CCA CRA gives not just that but a full-bodied rumble, a punchy bass and close to no bass bleed into the mids despite that! This is not a usual gimmicky v -shaped iem from KZ with recessed mids. The vocals are close to being neutral because of the gradual descent from the lows to the mids and a gradual descent from the mids to the highs.

LOWS - a non-fatiguing thumpy sub-bass that doesn't make the overall track boomy. You'd be surprised at how punchy the bass can get without affecting other parts of the track. The mid-bass is detailed enough but doesn't have the depth that a warmer iem might have

MIDS - Vocals are very bright, and genres like R&B, blues, and jazz might not sound as laid back and dark as you might want them to. Mids aren't recessed like you'd expect of a v - shaped tuned iem so that's pretty good. But they are neutral enough for vocal-centric tracks, too.

HIGHS - contrary to popular opinion, the highs are not sparkly alone but are very, very detailed on this set for the price. The accuracy of female vocals, cymbals and electric instruments is surprisingly good. This is not to say that this set has significant sibilance. If tracks you listen to are female - vocal centric, you're probably better off getting the CHU 2 or some warmer iems in this price point.

BUILD QUALITY - all plastic, cable's not gonna last long, but < 2500 inr, you can't ask for much

FIT - I thought the 7hz zero had a fantastic fit, but the CCA CRA has such good noise isolation because of its bulky size. Also, it's all plastic, so not tiring, unlike the BL 03

SOUND STAGE - very narrow, the sub-bass gives an illusion of a deeper sound stage and the treble is extended, which offers a similar feel, but that's about it. Occasionally, vocals do feel forward even though they are not emphasised.

IMAGING - among the best in this price point, but in tracks with sounds across frequencies, this can't handle separation as well as you would want.

It's an iem that does precisely what it promises to do. It's fun and fabulous for techno, house, EDM, trance, and pop. It's not balanced, and if that is what you want, you'd hate this. On the other hand, if you have the usual balanced and warm, safely tuned sets, give this a go; it's worth it. Full of energy and very bright with a full-bodied bass is rare in this price range. But again, if you have issues with sibilance, I'd give this a pass.
