In case you receive the Topping - D50 III with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession
- The product is not different from what was shipped to you

Critical read for D50 III buyers. Performance review with come later

Received the DAC from headphonezone today.
This may be a small palm size DAC, but it is heavy, which is good, as it will not fall off when connecting cables.
The models that Headphonezone is shipping are probably the earliest models and come with the oldest firmware.
So some functions like switching to DAC mode (disabling preamp mode) LDAC protocol in Bluetooth mode etc. as mentioned in the user manual will not be available.
The first thing one needs to do is to update the firmware.
Before updating the firm-ware, you need to install the drivers so that your DAC is detected by the PC and ready to run the firm-ware.
As the one I received came with 1.21 version firm-ware, I first had to update it to 1.28 version and then to 1.3 version. If your DAC is on 1.21 version, do not jump directly to 1.3, but first update to 1.28 and then to 1.3. I am providing the links below.
It is extremely sad and unprofessional of both Topping and Headphonezone to not mention this critical procedure. There is no mention of the firm-ware upgrade on the manual or anywhere in the two start-up instruction papers supplied with the package.

Audible difference vs PC output/Dongle DAC

I was using a Fiio KA3 as a DAC for my Monitor Audio Bronze 100. The dongle DAC was fine for my headphones, but I felt the bookshelf speakers sounded better when I auditioned them at the store. This DAC gave a clear audible difference, especially in better separation between bass instruments. With the relatively low price compared to other audiophile DACs and the clean, distortionless output it provides (Audiosciencereview review page), this is a no brained source for any audiophile speaker setup
