Long time user of the WH-1000XM3, left those on a flight and never saw them again :(
The following views are my personal opinion:
Pros:
- Multipoint (Albeit without LDAC, the multipoint works beautifully and seamlessly on SBC)
- Comfortable: I can wear them all day. 6 - 8 hours, although some users are complaining about them being heavier than mark 3 (they're lighter but with a heavier clamping force)
- Foldable: coming from briefly using a WH-910N, these are foldable (even around the neck) & come with their own hardcase
- SQ although out of the box seems muddy, it can be fixed with an EQ tweak. and LDAC is still supported after the EQ changes (not possible on the Mark III)
Cons:
- ANC isn't as effective as Mark III without music playing
- multipoint doesn't support LDAC (although, this is more of a windows limitation)
- not even slightly sweat resistant. come on sony
Overall, a great purchase, I would have purchased the XM5's but the steep entry price was a big roadblock for me. Thanks, HPZ for the sale! got these for 20k!
