I'm so glad to pick SONY NW A55 it's awesome player it's completely gonna change your music listening expression
super detailing in sound perfect separation between tone and beats,
Just close your eyes and feel the music
If you really want to enjoy the music
Don't think much just go for it and you never gonna regrate .
Ui is smooth but not as an iPhone , it's quite manageable.

I am writing this review after using it for about 10 days, i must say it live upto the name..
I am primarily a guy who luvs music. I am not an audiophile nor i own multiple DAPs. I mostly used my phone to listen to music but i wanted a more convenient way to listen to music. I purchased Sony NWA55 along with a Tin hifi t2 IEMs. So my review will be from the point of view of a normal music lover.
Looks and Build = 10/10
Looks amazing and build is solid.
Interface 8/10 it is fluid. It is smooth so far, no lags. But the UI is not perfect but really close in my experience.
Sound 10/10 i don't have much experience in DAPs but i know this one sounds better that my phone. I plug it with my Tin Audio T2 IEMs n they sound really nice. There are various equaliser options for tweaking the sound n the results r quite good. The clear audio+ option is great. I will probably upgrade the IEMs in future but so far the sound is great. I haven't compared this with high end IEMs but i quite enjoy the sound signature with my Tin hifi t2.
Battery- 8/10..it is quite confusing as i haven't had a 30-40 hrs backup. I don't knw the reson for that. Maybe because i only have FLAC files in the device but i m not sure. I wish Sony had provided a power adapter with this device as the power ratings r not mentioned and i have a bad experience in that regard. So far i m using my laptop to charge it.
Memory .. 8/10 i just hope they had added about 64gb rom coz u just can add about 200-300 audio files ( it quite less in my opinion) but in the plus side there is a sdcard slot.
Other features i used this as a DAC and it sounds great
I was very confused before my purchase i had made a list i had Fiio m3k, Shanling m0, Shanling m2x, fiio M5, Fiio M6 etc but i selected this one. I saw like a thousand reviews for DAPs and most of them highly rated this one. I don't have the budget to buy all of them but i m quite convinced that i made a good choice. I m enjoying my music and not using my phone for it.

First of all thanks a ton to Sony for making this astounding product and also thanks a ton to Headphonezone to make it available in your site and also for prompt shipping and delivery..keep up the great service!!!...now about the product..I have no enough words to actually describe about this bliss..was using Creative Zen X-Fi2 mp3 player for 10 years and thought the limit of audio quality is only much, but, let me tell you after i listened from this awesome baby alongwith using the 1MORE TRIPLE DRIVER EARPHONES *(yeah, the combination of Sony NW-A55 player and 1More Triple Driver earphone is absolutely THE PERFECT COMBINATION for the BEST sound output for your ears)*, I just blew away by the quality OMG PURE BLISS i tell you..just try this combo you will not regret at all..and both are a bit costly but if you dont mind spending few extra bucks for THE BEST SOUND QUALITY then its worth it..and once again, thank you Sony and Headphonezone for NW-A55!!!!!!!!

Battery doesn't last the way it's proclaimed and I can feel unit gets warm on prolonged usage.
Internal Sony says 16gb. The file software is less then 200mb and available GB is less then 13gb.
No accessories. Like case nor screen guard.
Cable is not easy to source .
Bad experience buying this product and my review is in the 8th day usage.
Build is not great. Just makes the unit heavier then the A45.
Didn't notice much or little difference in sound quality between A45.
Is the upgrade worth it NO
If given a chance I would like to return it.
3 stars for music. Typical Sony ecosystem. Very cute looks.

First of all, a big thanks to Headphonezone for making this product available and the super fast delivery *I am speed*. The product is for music lovers by Sony. The nw A55 does it's job quite well and that's playing music. The aluminium build feels premium and the design is sleak, compact size which makes it very handy and comfortable to use. The tft display is quite good and the software functions smooth. The music sounds so well defined and detailed, sounds good even when used with the bluetooth receiver (i.e connecting to phone, streaming Spotify and youtube music) even dac functions well when connected to pc. Coming to the audio I'm hearing sounds I've never heard before. It's a bliss what this little dap does, pure magic. I use sound magic e11c, I did explore a bit and messed around a little with the different settings that's when I found the perfect setting which suited my ears. Overall it's a great dap and the only one I've used so far, and it's WORTH IT! I've never had such a wonderful experience listening to music. The nw a55 do disconnect you from the real world and connect you to the world of music! :D

I have been searching for a great music player, great music and great ear phones and the search has not yet stopped. Having said that, my search has temporarily paused at vmoda zn IEMs coupled with this player. I am more about listening to music than doing all the other things. All I expect from a music player is that it plays music greatly and gives much pleasure listening to it. In that aspect, this player delivers. There is of course, room for improvement. But for it's price, it offers solid sound quality and a few features that make it worthwhile. While I found other audio enhancements not so compelling, Clear Audio+ is very good for compressed audio such as mp3 (320Kbps). As a USB DAC, it's performance is great. I did not honestly expect much improvement when used as USB DAC with my PC, but it vastly improved the depth and the strength of the sound. Each instrument played with much more power and weight. I am impressed.

Where it falls short though, is the instrument separation. While each instrument/ frequency is more clearer than ever before, they tend to get mixed up when there are multiple instruments/frequencies. After checking the same with different headphones, I can confirm that it is the player and not the vmoda zn. I also use FiiO x1 and comparing both shows the big difference between both. Sony is far ahead of x1. Also, the sound signature is totally different. Audio from Sony is very much powerful and has weight whereas x1 sounds shallow. I fiddled with the eq settings on x1 but couldn't improve it any further.

Final Word: If you do not care about features, and want to drown in music and enjoy it, get this and pair it with great earphones or headphones. They definitely do justice for the price. All the other cons are just excuses. Audio players are for playing music greatly and it does that. You want features, get a mobile phone and be content with that.

After long consideration I went ahead and got the NW-A55's. I now use it predominantly to listen to music. I have used it with the Sony WI-SP510's, Sony XB 900N's and the Skullcandy Crusher ANC's. The best performance I got was from the Crushers and next was surprisingly, with the SP510's. Everything just sounded better, cleaner and smoother with the bass punchier and not boomy. Very happy with the unit!
