In case you receive the Shure - AONIC 5 with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. Aonic 5 - More than a jack of all trades

Having tried and being impressed by the SE535 earlier, I was curious about the Aonic 5, especially since it has the concept of swappable sound tubes / nozzles like the SE846. Like most people, I too assumed that the Aonic 5 was just a repackaged SE535 in terms of their sound. But that is certainly not the case. The tuning of Aonic 5 is quite different from SE535. There is a lot more presence in the lower end of the FR. While SE535 had natural sounding bass (with hardly any rumble), the Aonic 5 in it's stock configuration (Reference filters) sounds a lot more fun. With the treble filters, they're a lot closer to the SE535 IMO.

The plethora of tips is useful and I personally found these to be quite comfortable with comply P100 tips (all 3 sizes included in the package). The bundled RMCE-UNI cable is the best MMCX mic cable that I have used till date. All in all this is a very versatile IEM that can easily adapt to different genres of music and different amps and sources by just changing the sound tubes / filters.

Impression changed on longer listen

Update - Although the bass is very anaemic (even with dark nozzles) but the Aonic 5 still has punch from midrange, which makes beats sound good. The sound is otherwise natural, especially timbre with no sibilance or harsh frequencies due to a good roll off past 10k. Don't let that seem like a problem for Detail Retrieval though. It is exceptional. Very very Susvara like, running from the same Burson Composer & Soloist 3XP.

OG Review - Wholly Analytical No fun. Tiny sound from a tiny thing. All details are heard. But it sounds stupid. This is not music. Its not natural, by a long way. Treble quality is poor. It sounds stressed & forced.

A worthwhile upgrade from SE535

My SE535 gave up on me last week, and after reading a few reviews, I decided to go for Aonic 5. I have not used them for much time but my initial feeling is that this is a worthy successor to SE535. Sound quality is excellent, noise isolation is much better than SE535 (I am using the default foam tips), bass is nice, as is the general sound quality. It definitely has deeper bass than SE535 and this is just after initial run and not after they have been burnt in. These look nice and fit in nicely. The wire is just the right length for me. I am very happy and will like to test with all the nozzles to see how they change the sound. I recommend these IEMs to anyone looking for nice and comfortable earphones. I just hope these last longer than my SE535 that went kaput in two years.

Wow - super quality and extreme value

This is a marvel. The key to unlocking its hidden potential is choosing different ear tips. In my case the yellow foam ones, along with the dark nozzles have transformed these into a warm & musical earphone but amazingly with all the details intact. It is exactly like listening to what people describe as a high end tube amplifier - smooth rounded edges, wide soundstage, and all the details and nuances.

The transparent nozzle reinstates the treble sparkle and crispness for when you desire that and thats the amazing value of this, its multifaceted and multicoloured. It doesnt get much better than this.
