The engineers at SMSL have designed the DA-6 power amplifier with a high-power digital power amplifier chip from German Infineon, achieving low distortion characteristics and a wide dynamic range. It is a newly designed silicone carbide class D power amplifier chip that enables the DA-6 to produce a precise signal amplification while achieving lower distortion (0.004%) and high SNR ratings (102dB). German Infineon's new technology class D power amplifier chip achieves efficiency up to 92%, further reducing power consumption. The SMSL DA-6 power amplifier outputs 70W x2 of power with a 4Ω load. PRECISE ELECTRONIC VOLUME CONTROL AND SURROUND MODES WITH MULTIPLE BUILT-IN EQ PRESETS

SMSL has featured electronic volume control on the DA-6 to eliminate the noise caused by a conventional potentiometer. The amplifier provides precise volume adjustment with a noise-free operation. It eliminates noise produced by the potentiometer while adjusting the volume. SMSL DA6 features multiple EQ presets built into its system. You can cycle through these easily using the fully-functioning remote control. E "0" means direct (no EQ), E "t" means tone (EQ with adjustable Treble and Bass frequencies(-14dB to 14dB)), E "1" is for bass, E "2" is for Super bass, E "3" is for Rock, E "4" is for a soft effect, and E "5" is for clear. Apart from these EQ presets, the DA-6 also features three analogue surround modes. The SMSL DA-6 has three analogue surround modes Su0, Su1, Su2, and Su3. With Su0, the surround mode is OFF. Tone control allows for adjusting the Bass and Treble. The SMSL DA-6 offers two gain controls "Low" for low impedance and high sensitivity speakers and "High" for high impedance and low sensitivity speakers. With the low gain, the maximum input voltage is 2Vrms and with high gain maximum input voltage 1.2Vrms.
