First of all of like to thank HPZ for replacing hip dac 2 with the moonriver 2 without any questions. Hip dac 2 sounds amazing but i had some compatibility issues with my mobile. Moreover it wasn't as portable as the moonriver. The moonriver is quite powerful in high gain mode. I never went above 40% volume with the Fiio FH5s pro. There's no noise that i could hear even in a completely silent room. I wish there were some more features like an app support for eq or at least the device could remember the gain settings. Still, I'm happy with it. It's lightweight, looks cool, sounds great and more powerful than most dongles.

Clean, crisp, accurate and powerful enough to drive P1s at 70% at 4.4mm Balanced. A great upgrade for me from OG E1DA 9038S. Gets warm on long use and sadly the 3.5mm end doesn't support ADC for mic. The price is a bit debatable considering the competition with more features but no regrets. A simple no nonsense DAC, since it doesn't have battery on its own be prepared to shed some juice when using with mobile but also plays to its advantage, if taken care properly will outlast multiple phones hopefully.
