HiFiMAN proudly presents the all-new EF400, a Balanced DAC & Headphone Amp that combines the newly developed technology, including the company's superior HIMALAYA R2R DAC architecture. The EF400 is a modern desktop DAC and amplifier delivering Next-Level Sonic Performance. With the high-level technology developed by HiFiMAN, it comes as no surprise that the HIMALAYA R2R DAC had been a recipient of the 2022 lifestyle VGP Gold Technology Award held in Japan.
MASSIVE POWER OUTPUT OF 4.4 W PER CHANNEL DELIVERING SUPERIOR SOUND
The HiFiMAN EF400 is a modern desktop DAC & Amp solution. Providing Ultra-high efficiency and low power consumption at maximum stability of 4.4W per channel balanced output. HiFiMAN EF400 is embedded with oxygen-free copper wire wound toroidal transformer, HIMALAYA R2R DAC module, 30000uf large capacitors, and high current amplifier circuit to deliver optimum and stable power outputs.
EXPERIENCE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE R2R DAC, A RARE DELIGHT MADE POSSIBLE BY HIFIMAN
The HiFiMAN EF400 DAC & Amp architecture is designed with a discrete HIMALAYA R2R DAC module, based on an FPGA algorithm. It's an excellent match for high-performance audio equipment because of its low audio frequency range, minimal out-of-band noise, and low energy consumption. With a maximum resolution of 24 bits, the HIMALAYA DAC module supports the standard PCM music signal provided by the most common IIS (Integrated Interface of Sound) audio interface. A DAC, buffer, and active filter result in an unequaled balanced output for outstanding performance from a Class AB DAC/amplifier setup. On a 36 Ohms equivalent load, the four-channel differential amplifier circuit produces a maximum output of 10.7 Vrms (THD1%). The result is a perfectly balanced output that is unrivaled.
OPTIMAL BUILD AND SUPREME CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS WITH 4-LEVEL GAIN FUNCTION SWITCH
EF400 has a polished and stylish chassis which gives it a robust feel and premium look. The compact physical dimensions of the EF400 contradict its substantial output. Measuring 246.5mm(L)×228mm(W)×61mm(H), the EF400 requires the bare minimum of desktop or rack space. The front panel includes two unbalanced outputs - 6.35mm, and 3.5mm, and two balanced outputs 4.4mm, XLR four-pin. In addition, EF400 also offers a four-level gain function switch with High Gain NOS, High Gain OS, Low Gain OS, Low Gain NOS Headphone Out, and volume control. The rear input panel includes jacks for USB-B and USB-C source connectors, dual (L/R) XLR three-pin fully balanced line outputs, and is a rarity in products.
