ENGINEERED WITH THE DARWIN-MPA ARCHITECTURE WITH DSD1024 DECODING CAPABILITY

HiBy has engineered the Darwin-MPA (Multiphase PWM Array) design architecture in the all-new R8 II. The distinguished features of Darwin R2R are intact in the R8 II to keep up with the flagship title. The Darwin-MPA in R8 II works efficiently with the flexible and versatile design of the Darwin R2R. It oversamples the input signals to 128x via the Darwin V2 filter system, which also has a non-oversampling function. This may optionally emulate various types of non-oversampling DAC functionality via 3 built-in NOS filters or follow a hybrid approach via the built-in Darwin Ultra filter. The oversampling (or non-oversampling) process follows a cascaded FIR design with a precise 1024-tap opening stage. The design has a 16-way current mode DAC arrangement coupled with I/V conversion and LPF stage, preparing the signal for the output with efficiency. HiBy R8 Gen II has an excellent design to ensure the delivery of hi-res sound performance. The HiBy R8 II provides DSD1024, which is one of the highest-quality digital audio formats on the market and encodes music at a higher bitrate and sample rate. The PCM1536/32 also ensures more detailed audio processing for a more realistic and natural sound. The strong processing power of the DSD1024 in the HiBy R8 II coupled with the MQA 16x unfolding, delivers the unprecedented MQA data possible, reproducing the original master tape from ever smaller source files.

POWERFUL AMPLIFICATION OF THE DUAL ADA4625-2 WITH CLASS A AND AB MODES

HiBy has designed the amp circuit of R8 II with class-leading components on the analogue circuit. It houses a dual headphone amplification circuit in Class A and AB modes, and R8 II allows you to switch between the modes efficiently. The HiBy R8 II features the NJW1195A integrated circuit that provides a 4-channel electronic volume with 4-in 2-out stereo audio selector. The Class-A amp circuit is powered by dual ADA4625-2 OP Amps and 16 custom-developed transistors for zero crossover distortion and fast transient performance and allows extra control over the IEMs with Class-A mode. The Class AB mode is supported with three OPA1612 OP Amps that yield better battery life, control heating, and provides efficient output power that will drive well with most of the IEMs in the market. So the conclusion is that Class-A mode aims to deliver consistent performance while Class-AB mode aims to provide more battery life and less heat dissipation in your R8 II.

VERSATILE MUSIC PLAYER WITH DUAL HEADPHONE AND LINEOUT PORTS, BLUETOOTH AND WI-FI CONNECTIVITY

HiBy R8 II supports dual independent headphones and lineout connections. The four ports are 3.5mm headphone out, 4.4mm headphone out, 3.5mm line out and 4.4mm line out. These ports are all separate, and they support volume memory. With the HiBy R8 II, experience concert hall music listening with your favourite IEM or Headphones. HiBy has also featured R8 II 2.4 & 5GHz Dual band WiFib connectivity, offering stable and fast connection for all your high-quality online music. The HiBy R8 II Bluetooth connectivity (sending and receiving audio) also supports multiple hi-res Bluetooth audio codecs such as UAT, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, and SBC. HiBy has also equipped R8 II with its self-developed Music Player App.

EMBEDDED WITH PRECISION CRYSTAL OSCILLATORS, ELNA AUDIO CAPACITORS AND TURBO MODE FOR POWERFUL PERFORMANCE

HiBy has equipped R8 II with two dedicated high-frequency precision crystal oscillators of 90.3168 and 98.304MHz. They provide atomic clock accuracy to all digital audio samples. The compact yet powerful HiBy R8 II can drive most IEMs and Headphones with its strong output support. HiBy has also featured R8 II with a high-power Turbo mode on the device that increases the output current to ±7.5V increasing the overall output power and taking its performance to an all-new level. The max voltage delivers max volume and full throttle to maximise the output quality. Turning on Turbo mode increases power reserves by 25%, unlocking the high-power power supply with one touch of the screen. The HiBy R8 II includes flagship-grade analog circuit components, the 4 tube-like Elna audio capacitors for an analogue, detailed sound character. It also features 28 high-capacity tantalum capacitors, a loadout befitting a flagship audio player.

HOUSING A 12000MAH BATTERY WITH A QUICK CHARGING PROTOCOL FOR SUPPLYING EFFICIENT POWER FOR YOUR JAMMING SESSIONS

HiBY R8 II houses a 12000mAh sufficient battery that is custom-made for efficient power consumption. The 12000mAh battery also ensures adequate power for class A and turbo modes. The battery offers 21 hours on a single-ended connection and 11 hours on balanced. The battery in R8 II provides an independent power supply to Digital, D/A, preamp and postamp circuits with no cross-over. The battery powers the headphone amp by a low-ripple DC/DC transformer + 3 high-flux, low-IR, fully shielded high-power inductors. The lowpass filters by a DC/DC transformer + 6 high PSRR +/- LDOs, supplying either side channels. The battery also powers DAC by a DC/DC transformer and two ultra-low ripple LDOS, which provide power independently to both channels. HiBy has protected the battery of the R8 II with a pure copper battery case, which is highly efficient in heat dissipation and keeps your R8 II's internals cool in the hottest situations. The battery can be charged quickly with the quick charging protocol support, providing up to 20 W fast recharging for your HiBy R8 II.
