Well straight out of the box, the Focal Bathys are the perfect combination of cutting-edge technology, superior comfort, and stunning design, offering a truly immersive listening experience. The added Noise Cancelling feature makes the Bathys a Maverick in all respects.
The Focal Bathys is an excellent-sounding debut ANC wireless headphone and certainly a considerable upgrade on all the previous wireless closed-backs I have reviewed to date.
The Bathys from Focal are the best-sounding wireless headphones I've heard yet. Exceptionally open sound, Highly detailed, USB DAC, Solid battery/fast charging, Bluetooth multipoint.
The design is eccentric in appearance with real leather used for the headband, with curvy earcups that feature grilles to help provide its distinctive Focal aesthetic.
They sound good. The ANC works well. Balance achieved. But for pure music listening, the Bathys understandably lag behind the rest of Focal’s traditional headphone lineup.
After spending a ton of time with the Bathys, I firmly believe it to be one of a kind. For now, there is no other headphone that blends the experience of premium headphones with Bluetooth.

If you are not audiophile like me then go for Sennheiser Momentum 4 for great digital sound at much low cost. Momentum 4 is like going to party. But Focal Bathys is for purist like me with great sound for all day who loves genuine music. I have AirPods Max, Momentum 4 and now Focal Bathys. Bathys is in different league for sound quality. You need to give time to yourself to accommodate yourself with Bathys. It is more of physical sounds without much digital intervention and not at all a consumer grade headphones. It is an ANC headphone for premium users like me who know what is pure music. If you have enough money to burn out then first try B&W P8, Master Dynamics M75 and Focal Bathys then choose what is right for your ears and comfort. I have a budget constraint of Rs 60000 for my taste thus I went for Focal Bathys without any regrets. Only complaints is the App which does not support multiple device pairing and little slow to react when paired with only one device. Lastly pls try DAC mode with given USB C to C cable to enhance your music listening which you may not get in Momentum 4.

But don't be tricked into thinking you need a $5000 pair of headphones for them to be endgame. The Bathys is a masterclass in every way. And it's THE headphone that'll help you listen to enough richness in the music that you won't ever want to buy anything else. And no, this isn't a paid review. Go for it.

Had to write this review after getting the headphones earlier today and listening to some of my fav tracks. The sound quality met and exceeded my expectations. Brilliant cans! Comfortable enough, decent to good quality hardware and a hi fi sound with good bass weight, mids and highs. Linear response across the frequency range with no overemphasis on lows and mids unlike some consumer grade headphones. Glad I made the purchase.
Just for reference I own Dynaudio Special 40s, KEF R300s, Buchardt S400 MKIIs, REL S/510, Exposure 3510, Primare i35 and Rotel, Primare, Oppo CD/UDP players etc. I was a drummer when I was a teen so my taste in music has gone beyond ordinary over the years. Would highly recommend these to music afficionados.

Weighing at 350 grams it doesn’t feel quite as tight on the head and is comfortable. It is a big and bulky headphone. Weight distribution is not as good as Apple Max.
ANC in silent mode is extremely good. Passive isolation is great. Transparency mode is good enough. Battery life is very good. Bathys makes crystal clear phone calls.
Bathys is a big sounding headphone and slightly warm sounding. It has a woody richness. Treble is slightly pepped up but not incisive. Great clarity and detailing. Nice amount of dynamic flair. The sub bass is present but not overbearing. It is as good if not better than its peers, the B&W and Sony.
It has a fuller sounding mid bass which is great for acoustic music. Bathys sorts out complex arrangements with ease. D&B, Hip Hop, Techno pop music is a little subdued.
It has a DAC mode. But I am not sure if people would prefer this mode over Bluetooth and ANC.
Overall, the performance is excellent and it is a great sounding luxury product. It may become your go to Wireless headphone.
