You can't really go wrong with this DAC at this price point and size. It's perfect if you're a college student like me who can't keep a proper audiophile setup but you still want a proper listening experience. Pairs well with portable equipment like your laptop or your phone since you'll be travelling constantly.

Amazing dac/amp for such a compact form factor and cheap too. Very handy, I got the older version with micro USB but still works fine! I use it for my ath-m50x as well as IEMs.

Been extensively using laptop onboard jack so this is a great improvement in audio quality.
The difference is more pronounced on higher volumes.

REVISED VERSION OF A CLASSIC, NOW WITH AN ADVANCED DAC AND LOWER FLOOR NOISE
One of the notable developments in the FiiO E10K is its all-new PCM5102 chip. This chip brings about significant improvements in the functionality of the E10K like, reduced delays and improved audio quality without any phase shift. Even when you are changing tracks you can experience low silence intervals. Equipped with a low-pass filter and bass boost circuits, the E10K has the lowest noise floor under all conditions. It has a output power of 200mW @32Ω and a USB decoding sample rate of 24 bit / 96kHz.
IMPROVED AMPLIFICATION STAGE AND A HIGHLY DURABLE & PORTABLE DESIGN
Installed with a brand new LMH8643 amplification op amp, the FiiO E10K now has a buffer design that takes care of the transient response and the driving power. This headphone amplifier is compact, portable and durable than ever before, thanks to its brushed aluminium shell and chassis. It comes with a Micro USB/Type-C input, coaxial output and a 3.5 mm stereo Jack headphone output. It also has an ALPS Potentiometer volume control to take easy control over the volume, gain settings and a bass boost.
E10K-TC FEATURING XMOS CHIP AND TYPE-C CONNECTOR
Keeping up with the times, the E10K-TC comes embedded with the flagship XMOS XUF208 chip for more efficient USB decoding. This, compared to the E10K is a substantial upgrade and is further enhanced by USB Audio Class 2.0 and PCM format supports up to 32bit/384kHz sampling rates for detailed audio. The E10K-TC has been equipped with a USB Type-C connection to allow compatibility with various modern devices and at the same time, the headphone/line/coaxial (up to 24 bit/192kHz) outputs make it easier to connect to other pieces of equipment. These additions are truly thoughtful and truly keeping in tune with technological advancements.
