These earpads come in two distinct variants, the Standard ear pads and Velour variant. The Standard ear pads are designed to replace your current ear pads and bring your headphones to a like-new listening state and the Velour variant are designed to be breathable and lightweight yet still comfortable and a step above the standard. Velour is a breathable, lightweight fabric we use to surround a foam core and we make them for many models as replacements. Not as described in the picture, earpads won't last more than 6 months because its cheaply glued and will part ways in some time and you will be able to see everything inside of them soon. Over priced for its low quality build. Be my guest give them a try... you will know what original felt like.

I have the DT880 Pro and bought the standard pad since the velour pads were unavailable. My review is therefore for the standard pads only.
I use the DT880 Pro primarily for mixing and mastering, and so when the original grey velour pads began to lose their shape and got dirty despite the occasional cleaning, I decided to replace them. The Dekoni standard pads are reasonably good for regular media consumption for short periods and that's about it. Forget doing any serious work for long periods of time on these.
First of all, these get uncomfortably hot very fast. Secondly, the headphone's tonal character becomes something else which is a more serious problem. The bass is resonant and boomy probably because of the thicker dimensions of the pads. The mids and highs become more muffled than before probably due to the additional layer stretching across the inside of the pads. That additional layer is not shown in the product images shown above. In summary, the standard pads are not good. The velour ones look promisingly close to the original pads but I can't tell until I use them. Maybe they are good.
I did however go ahead and buy the original replacement velour pads from Headphonezone (EDT 990/990VB) and those have brought back the original sound of the headphones. Worth every rupee. So there is that.
