HA-3A DELIVERS CLEAN POWER WITH MINIMUM INTERFERENCE WITH THE RECTIFIER TUBE, AND TRANSFORMER-COUPLED BALANCED DRIVEN IMPEDANCE MATCHED PHONE OUTPUT

The rectifier tube is a one-way valve combined with the power transformer, which acts as an electron pump to convert 325 volts RMS AC into 360 volts DC. This high-voltage AC from the transformer is often called HT (high tension) voltage. Cayin HA-3A uses an RCA 22DE4 as a rectifier tube, one of the best versions of 22DE4 available in the tube market. While converting the incoming power source to DC, the 22DE4 rectifier tube minimises interference and provides clean power to the amplification circuit of the Cayin HA-3A. The 6V6S output drives a pair of proprietary output transformers that supports single-ended and balanced headphone outputs. An additional phase by the secondary winding of the output transformer; creates a balanced output amplification. Both single-ended and balanced headphones are "original" outputs from the transformers. The engineers at Cayin have optimised HA-3A's output; that is impedance matched phone output; to handle the headphone loading according to three headphone impedance settings Low 8 Ohms ~ 64 Ohms, Medium 65 Ohms ~ 50 Ohms, and High 251 Ohms ~ 600 Ohms. This design aspect enables the Cayin HA-3A to deliver clean power with minimum interference.

CAREFULLY SELECTED AND HAND-MATCHED DUAL DRIVER TUBES AND DUAL OUTPUT TUBES PRESENT EXCEPTIONAL SONIC PERFORMANCE

A vacuum tube is a device used to control the flow of electric current using a vacuum in a sealed container, which usually takes the form of a glass tube, hence the name. The vacuum tube is the predecessor of the modern transistor and was used in similar ways as electronically controlled switches, rectifiers, amplifiers, and oscillators. The Cayin HA-3A houses dual 12AU7/ECC82(Matched Pair) manufactured by JJ. The 12AU7 is a preamp tube of the same class as the 12AX7 and the 12AT7. Of these three, the 12AU7 provides the least amount of gain. An advantage of the lower gain is an increase in headroom, leading to less distortion and making the 12AU7 an excellent tube for amplifying a headphone amp or other Hi-Fi audio equipment. The 12AU7 and ECC82 are the same tubes with different names. The 12AU7 name is its American or "common" name, while the ECC82 title is its European name and Mullard Phillips tube designation. There is no difference between the components of the two tubes, and they are interchangeable. The Cayin HA-3A is carefully designed to convert the incoming power source to DC with selected hand-matched vacuum tubes. It hosts a single-ended vacuum tube circuit. The HA-3A vacuum tube amplification is designed as a 2-stage single-ended circuit. The 12AU7/ECC82 driver tubes will amplify the voltage level of the incoming audio signal so that the 6V6S output tubes will perform their amplification at a very linear condition. The 6V6S output drives a pair of proprietary output transformers that supports single-ended and balanced headphone outputs. A balanced driver is made possible by a single-ended vacuum tube amplification circuit, thanks to the secondary winding of the output transformer, which offers an alternate phase and creates a balanced output. Single-ended circuit design displaces the beautiful tone of your vacuum tubes without any cancellation. Single-ended uses matched pairs instead of matched quad-sets so that you can enjoy greater flexibility when you perform tube rolling.

The engineers at Cayin pay special attention to the wiring of the internal components of their amplifiers. The Cayin HA-3A's entire circuitry is hand-wired by skilful craftsmen. They pay better attention to detail to implement circuit design with a high level of transparency and refinement, improving overall efficiency and conductivity. Cayin always designs wind and uses high inductance, high-efficiency power transformers in their products, reinforcing shielding design minimises interference and noise while ensuring HA-3A works in the best condition. The Cayin HA-3A uses a high-performance 50KA*2 dual unit smooth potentiometer from ALPS and offers durable, high-precision volume control.

CLASS-LEADING ANTI-INTERFERENCE DESIGN MEETS THOUGHTFUL ENGINEERING WITH NUMEROUS INPUTS AND OUTPUTS

The HA-3A is used in Cayin's unique 14-round manufacturing process to treat the chassis and transformer pots. It is composed of scratch, spray, sanding and baking. The high gloss final finishing endows a refined and delicate texture and protects the amplifier during years of long service. The exquisite design of the Cayin HA-3A has first-class engineering and exceptional aesthetics. The Cayin HA-3A hosts carefully calibrated headphone outputs with 6.35mm Single-ended, 4.4mm Balanced, and 4-Pin XLR Balanced. The 4-Pin XLR output is full-fetched, and the 4.4mm output is calibrated for a range of headphones. It also has dual inputs balanced XLR and single-ended RCA. Balanced input will go through a pair of input transformers, and the + and - half cycle will merge to become a single-ended signal. Special shielding and anti-shock design remove microphonic effectively. A set of three 39x18mm XL shock-absorbing aluminium foot pads to provide firm and stable amplifier placement on any hard flat surface. 2-rear & 1-front self-levelled placements handle the extra weight on the back of the amplifier due to the power and output transformers. A specially designed vacuum tube shielding cage protects you from touching the red hot vacuum tubes during operation. The front panel of the HA-3A consists of a power switch, power indicator, Phone output selector, 6.35mm single-ended, 4.4mm pentaconn balanced, and 4-pin XLR balanced headphone jacks. It also has an output impedance selector switch with eye-catching VU (Volume Unit) metres, an Input source selector and a premium volume dial.
