Indoor Use

Planar Magnetic Drivers

Planar magnetic drivers combine characteristics of several driver types. They employ magnetic fields akin to dynamic and balanced armature drivers. However, planar magnetic drivers, like electrostatic drivers, use a flat, thin diaphragm in contrast to a coil. The planar drivers are known for their quick transient response.

Open-Back Design

Headphones with an open-back design, allow air to pass through the earcups. This means that Open-Backs do not block any noise from around you, as closed-backs do, and music being heard will also leak outside to people around you. So they can only be heard in a quiet environment.

However, Open-back headphones do sound more natural and open. Open-back headphones create a feeling of space, presenting audio as if you are sitting at a live concert. Audiophiles swear by open-back headphones, and they sound quite different to closed-backs.

These headphones are perfect for critical listening sessions, mixing and mastering music. They have an accurate soundstage presentation and precise imaging.

Needs Amplification

Headphones and IEMs require a certain level of power to sound their best and work at their full potential. When your headphones or IEMs are underpowered, they can sound thin or muffled.

Amplifiers are required to provide adequate power to your headphone or IEMs to perform at their best. Simply put, amplifiers allow a weak audio signal to be boosted to a powerful one.

To put it into perspective, devices such as your phones and laptops come with an amplifier, but they offer very limited output power. This output may not be sufficient to power headphones and IEMs to shine at their best. This is where a dedicated amplifier is required to deliver adequate power to hear your music in all its glory.

FINAL D7000 - THE NEW FLAGSHIP PLANAR MAGNETIC HEADPHONE WITH INNOVATIVE PINA ALIGN DIFFUSER

Final introduces its next flagship headphone - the D7000, created at the Final Audio headquarters in Kawasaki. The Final D7000 is the fourth member of the acclaimed D series in the audiophile world, representing Japanese engineering with an updated speaker structure. The D7000 was brought to life with Final Audio's continued research and development since the initial concept of the first flagship headphone - the D8000 while searching for the ideal structural design. The D7000 equips the newly developed Pina Align Diffuser and an upgraded Air Film Damping System (AFDS). To work in conjunction with these features, the D7000 houses Planar Magnetic Drivers, which lets you experience the openness of the planar magnetic field but also the dynamic driver-type bass in your music. All these components are combined to provide a glossy and smooth sound. Apart from these internal upgrades, Final has also upgraded the earpads and headband design of the D7000, constructing it with a unique fabric using Japanese paper. The Final D7000 is lightweight compared to the D8000 and D8000 Pro Edition.

MERGING PLANAR MAGNETIC PRECISION WITH DYNAMIC BASS PERFORMANCE

The Final D7000 headphones introduce an innovative driver unit that seamlessly merges the delicate high range of planar magnetic field types with volume and open bass of a dynamic driver. Through the Air Film Damping System (AFDS), diaphragm-magnet contact in the low range is highly controlled, allowing for extended bass reproduction while maintaining spaciousness. Breathable ear pads further enhance the open bass experience. Additionally, the Final D7000's lightweight diaphragm design, featuring an ultra-thin aluminium foil coil, ensures precise high-frequency reproduction without the need for adhesives, resulting in unparalleled audio clarity. This groundbreaking fusion of technologies invites listeners to rediscover their favourite music with newfound depth and richness, setting a new standard for audio excellence.

THE NEWLY DEVELOPED PINA ALIGN DIFFUSER TO PROVIDE IDEAL FIT AND SOUND FOR EVERY EAR

Final Audio took inspiration from the concept of acoustic adjustments using diffusion, which is quite well-known among professional recording studios. The team at Final Audio had the idea of incorporating a diffuser during the initial development stages of the D8000. However, this was becoming a prolonged process due to the inability to develop a diffuser that could be accommodated in a headphone. Under ideal conditions, the measurements showcased good results on the measuring instruments, but while listening, it impacted the sound quality because the outer shape of every ear (pina) differs from person to person. Keeping this drawback in mind, Final Audio was encouraged to conduct simulation and actual hearing experiments with different outer ear shapes, which aided in acquiring the design of the diffuser that is optimal for every user.

UPGRADED AIR FILM DAMPING SYSTEM FOR ENHANCED SOUND PRESENTATION

The former planar magnetic field drivers had a disadvantage when the diaphragm came together at low frequencies, which produced a hike in amplitude. To tackle this issue, Final Audio conducted extensive diaphragm simulations, implementing the finite element method and precise measurements with a Laser Doppler Vibrometer, resulting in the development of a diaphragm damping technology - the Air Film Damping System (AFDS). This technology solves the weak bass production fault, which is a drawback of the former planar magnetic field drivers. The Final D7000 has a carefully redesigned diaphragm coil with better metal components. They perform to have better control over the functions of the diaphragm, delivering exceptional audio characteristics in your D7000.

OFFERING THE PERFECT BLEND OF THE D8000 AND THE D8000 PRO'S SOUND CHARACTERISTIC

The D7000 features cutting-edge drivers, an innovative Pina Align Diffuser and some other components, that aim to deliver the perfect blend of rich and expansive bass and delicate treble, which are the sound characteristics of the D8000 and D8000 Pro series. The D7000 aims to provide a remarkable clarity of the string and brass instruments in your music, offering an immersive listening experience. Final D8000 lets you experience dynamic nuances of classic music, while the D8000 Pro offers enhanced resolution for genres like pop and rock and then the all-new D7000 produces the balance of both the D8000 and the D8000 Pro, allowing you to experience a fresh realm of music.

CRAFTED WITH SPECIALLY SELECTED MATERIALS FOR A COMFORTABLE WEARING EXPERIENCE

To keep up with the advanced functioning of the AFDS, Final Audio has meticulously crafted the D7000 with an aluminium-magnesium alloy casing. The parts of D7000 can be efficiently dissembled with screws, offering you a hassle-free repair and upgrade option. Along with the metal components, Final Audio has designed the earpads with a unique Japanese paper fabric. We know that headphones rely on sealed earpads to extend low-frequency response beyond the driver unit’s capabilities. However, the D7000 overcomes this hurdle with the AFDS technology, allowing the reproduction of rich low frequencies with partially sealed ear pads. These newly designed pads are brought to life with breathable foam and special fibres. This material ensures moisture resistance and provides durability, elevating your overall user experience.
